This experiment requires you to remove a blob from its original surface and transfer it into the maze. Your blob needs to be in good condition to be removed without damage. You should therefore start this process about 24 hours in advance.
💡 How do I remove my blob without damaging it? The ideal scenario for the big day is to be able to remove the blob while it’s attached to a smooth, hard surface, such as plastic.
To guide the blob toward a plastic surface:
Tip 1 : “Forget” to feed your blob for 24 hours. It will tend to climb up onto the lid of its culture box. It will be easy to remove it without damaging it.
Tip 2 : Let your blob migrate for 24 hours inside a damp plastic box without a substrate.
